With a vast collection of more than 44,000 Greek, Roman and Etruscan antiques, 23 permanent galleries and five changing galleries with objects dating back to 6,500 B.C., it is not surprising that the Getty is a world-renowned cultural center that makes for a great day trip choice. 107007 - Palm Springs Aerial
We’ll arrive at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway at 11 a.m. and take a 15-minute ride aboard the World’s Largest Rotating Tramcars. Once at the top, you’ll have a cafeteria-style lunch (your choice of entrée and dessert) at the Pines Cafe at 11:30 a.m. After some time to explore on your own, we’ll head to the Cabazon Outlet Mall for shopping. The bus departs Cabazon at 4:30 p.m. This excursion includes roundtrip transportation, tramway admission, lunch and a snack on the way home. 107008 - Griffith Observ & Lunch
The first bus stop is at Vegas Seafood Buff et for a leisurely lunch you create from the all-you-can-eat selections of American, Brazilian and Asian cuisine, and variety of desserts and drinks. After lunch, the bus trip resumes to the Griffith Observatory for on-you-own exploring time. In addition to more than a dozen exhibits on two levels, the Observatory also features a Planetarium with three live shows every 60-90 minutes. Admission to each of the shows is $5 for adults 60 years and older.
